Nocturnes II
Nocturnes I–VII: Voices of Silence
This work is part of the "Nocturnes" series – a sequence of seven bird studies in the nocturnal light of the full moon. Each songbird rests alone on a branch, surrounded by the profound stillness of the night. The series explores the fragile moment between sound and silence and is a tribute to nature's quiet, often unheard voices.
In the artistic execution, the moonlight sculpts the form and plumage of the birds, lending the scene an almost timeless, contemplative serenity. While each image exerts a strong presence on its own, the series unfolds its full visual impact as a group – like a nocturnal record of pausing.
This image is dedicated to the element of Air and depicts the bird as a wanderer of the night, leaving boundaries behind and exploring the infinite expanse of the night sky.
