This work is applied alchemy on canvas. The arum, a mysterious shade plant of our forests, carries immense transformative power in Traditional European Medicine (TEM). In this painting, a fiery, dynamic center of orange and red tones powerfully breaks through the cool turquoise and blue of the earth – a visual play with the choleric and phlegmatic principles of TEM.

The incorporated real snakeskin refers to the doctrine of signatures of the plant, which is closely linked to the theme of shedding and releasing inner stagnation. A work about the fiery power of renewal that slumbers even in the deepest shadow.

The sides are painted to match, the painting is fitted with a hanging device.
