Nocturnes I
Nocturnes I–VII: Voices of Silence
This work is part of the "Nocturnes" series – a sequence of seven bird studies in the nocturnal light of the full moon. Each songbird rests alone on a branch, surrounded by the profound silence of the night. The series explores the fragile moment between sound and silence and is a tribute to nature's quiet, often unheard voices.
In artistic execution, the moonlight models the birds' form and plumage, lending the scene an almost timeless, contemplative calm. While each image develops a strong presence on its own, the series unfolds its full visual impact as a group – like a nocturnal record of pausing.
As part of the Nocturnes series, this work represents the element Air – it captures the silent gliding through the nocturnal stillness and symbolizes the freedom of the spirit in the darkness.
